Mission Statement

To connect knowledge born in university laboratories with societal needs and the business development spirit of enterprises, co-creating a future that is more enjoyable and full of happiness.

Purpose

“ Bridge to the Future
— Transforming the
World through
Technology ”

Our mission is to unearth innovative technologies dormant in universities, create the necessary encounters with partners to bring these technologies to the world, and transform them into future assets that support the growth of society and enterprises. Through matching technology with needs and supporting practical application, we aspire to be a force that brings new abundance to society.

To Universities and Researchers

Your research has the potential to
better fulfill societal needs.

Having encountered numerous university research achievements, we feel that these results are eagerly awaited by many people. Despite this, not many research results have made their debut in the world yet. We are committed to further strengthening our network with enterprises to send more research results out into the world and contribute to business creation. We would be honored if you chose us as your partner to walk sincerely alongside you on the path to practical application.

To Corporate Partners

Turning the potential of university
technology into future
competitiveness.

Turning the potential of university technology into future competitiveness. To those of you taking on new challenges—such as new business or product development—to survive in this rapidly changing era: We hope to create opportunities for industry-academia co-creation by orchestrating encounters with university technologies that spark inspiration through unprecedented approaches or deeply resonate with you. It is our privilege to support you in discovering the value of unseen technologies, helping to bring more smiles to your employees, stakeholders, and society at large.

Message from President

We are a company that was newly established in 2012 through a departmental spin-out of the technology transfer business, which originated at our predecessor. If Recruit was a luxury cruise ship, our founding was like getting off that ship and paddling out on a "rafting boat." However, we were fortunate enough to receive great expectations from universities and started our journey with a strong sense of business potential.
Thirteen years have passed since then, and I have personally worked in this field since our founding. With even greater expectations from more universities and corporations, we have diligently dedicated ourselves to identifying inventions, marketing activities, and connecting with partners.
When I was just starting out in this line of work, still taking my first few steps, I was startled by a question from our mentor in long-term technology transfer in overseas university: "You're not doing this work just for the sake of licensing fees, are you?"
That's exactly right. "Technology transfer" is a process, not a goal. No matter how wonderful a technology is, getting it to the people who need it requires "making products," "commercialization," "business development," or even "startup." Simply put, the creation of new business is essential.

No matter how wonderful a technology is, getting it to the people who need it requires "making products," "commercialization," "business development," or even "startup." Simply put, the creation of new business is essential. In US universities, robust support systems for startups, investor networks, and funding mechanisms are already in place. In Japan, the startup ecosystem surrounding universities is currently being developed, too. On the other hand, startups are not the only scenario for business creation. Business creation through open innovation, such as joint development between universities and existing companies, is an approach that should be further activated. Despite the AI era, there is still significant potential to improve the connection and interfaces through which new technologies and businesses connect. Our ultimate goal is the complete lifecycle of new business creation: from taking shape to reaching those who need them, generating employment, and ultimately, achieving lasting growth. For those who dream of their research results reaching many people as technology, we want to continue to use our knowledge and strive to build the raft that will paddle from academia to industry, and to be the supporter of the crew aboard it.
